Bear Society for Law, Compliance and Ethics
Lambda Kappa Epsilon (LΚΕ) is Missouri State University's new interdisciplinary society dedicated to the study and practice of law, compliance, and ethics. Founded to bring together students from across academic disciplines, the organization provides opportunities to explore the legal, regulatory, and ethical issues that shape today's business, governmental, and nonprofit environments.
Recognizing that an understanding of law, compliance, and ethical decision-making is valuable in virtually every profession, Lambda Kappa Epsilon welcomes those students not only interested in law school, but also those pursuing careers in business, accounting, finance, human resources, management, marketing, healthcare, government, criminal justice, public administration, and other fields where legal and ethical principles play a vital role in the conduct of operations.
The Society serves as a forum for learning beyond the classroom by hosting attorneys, judges, corporate counsel, compliance officers, regulators, business executives, and other professionals who share their experiences and insights on contemporary legal and ethical issues. Members will also participate in panel discussions, workshops, networking events, and educational programs that foster professional development, analysis and critical thinking, and ethical leadership.
